Manufacturing/Processing/Operations Manager
Ensure production of outputs and operating activities to obtain maximum efficiency at acceptable cost within specified standards.
Tasks
- Responsible for all production operations in a one-product plant or for specific product lines in a multiproduct plant
- Responsible for production, planning and control where these are not established as separate functions
- Ensure timely production of outputs within production schedule guidelines of quality and cost levels
- Set production schedules, quality and safety standards, and organise work to ensure that objectives are achieved
- Ensure work facilities and equipment are maintained to requirements
- Responsible for effective training of staff and maintenance of harmonious working relations within factory
- Prepare reports on production output levels and associated costs
- Responsible for control of day-to-day operations including setting and maintenance of work schedules
- Supervise and organise operating activities to obtain maximum efficiency at acceptable cost within specified standards
